A soft, naturally sweetened banana and applesauce cake with a yogurt-based frosting. Perfect for smashing, eating, and photographing.

Cake:
- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon optional
- 1 cup oat flour blend oats in a blender until fine
Frosting:
- 1 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt for dairy-free
- 1 tbsp mashed banana or applesauce for light sweetness
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or lightly grease the cake pans.
In a mixing bowl, mash bananas, then whisk in eggs, applesauce, and vanilla.
Add oat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined.
Divide batter between the two pans and smooth the tops.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before frosting.
For frosting, mix yogurt with mashed banana/applesauce. Chill before using if needed for a thicker texture.
Stack your cakes and spread frosting in between and on top. Decorate with banana slices or soft fruits if desired.
