Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup breast milk or formula or any milk of choice for older babies
  • 1 tablespoon pureed fruit such as apple, pear, or banana
  • A pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract for flavor optional

Instructions

  • Combine Chia Seeds and Liquid: In a small bowl or jar, combine the chia seeds and milk (breast milk, formula, or a milk alternative). Stir well to avoid clumping.
  • Add Pureed Fruit: Mix in your choice of pureed fruit. Bananas work wonderfully, but you can also use apples or pears for a different flavor.
  • Let it Set: Cover the bowl or jar and place it in the fridge for 2-3 hours (or overnight). The chia seeds will absorb the liquid and turn into a pudding-like consistency.
  • Serve: Once the pudding has set, give it a good stir. You can serve it as is, or mash it further to your desired consistency for your baby.
