- 100 g cooked prawns steamed or boiled, finely chopped or blended
- 1 small potato boiled and mashed
- 1 small carrot steamed and grated
- 1 egg yolk for babies under 12 months — use whole egg if no allergy risk
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley optional
- 1 tbsp oat flour or baby cereal for binding
- Olive oil or ghee for cooking
Prep the Veggies and Prawns: Start by boiling the potato and steaming the carrot. Once they're soft, mash the potato and grate the carrot.
Mix Everything Together: In a bowl, combine the mashed potato, grated carrot, and finely chopped prawns. Add the egg yolk (or whole egg for older babies) and parsley. Then stir in the oat flour to bind the mixture.
Form Patties: With clean hands, shape the mixture into small patties (about the size of your baby’s palm).
Cook: Heat a nonstick pan with a small amount of olive oil or ghee. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through.
Cool and Serve: Let the patties cool down before serving them to your baby.
